The Younger Brothers ran with Frank and Jesse James to comprise the James-Younger Gang that robbed banks, trains, and stagecoaches in Missouri, Kentucky, Iowa, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and West Virginia in the late 1860's and 70's.
Cole was the eldest of the four. A Confederate bushwhacker during the Civil War, he later turned to banditry.
