"Blue Boots Before Dogwood" - A watercolor from early spring when the buds and new growth are beginning to pop. The colors outside will soon be overwhelmingly green but the first blush after winter is always pink and scarlet. As I was working on this piece the resident 9 year old traipsed across my field of vision stomping in puddles with her blue boots.
