Painted on an isolated segment of the original logging canal that runs parallel to the Susquehanna River near Tobacco Shed Road close to Lock Haven, PA. What struck me most from this area was how it has its own unique ecosystem. Most of the water in this area is flowing downstream or down -mountain rather quickly. This body of water is mostly stagnant and the life attracted there is distinct because there is no serious current that rises and falls. Turtles, algae, frogs, different birds, water lilies, and tall grasses appear more anchored in place. Even the sounds are unique.
