Another local watercolor where I'm trying to reinterpret places that are so familiar to me that they are hard to see. I hadn't been down close to the damn from the Lockport side in decades. Possibly not since the dike was put in. I remember riding my bike across it when it was drained low for the construction. Incredible how much healthier the river is now. Fish, bird, and vegetation that would have been unthinkable back then.
